For over thirty years, Steve has worked with business and HR executives across industries to develop and align strategy, increase leadership effectiveness, successfully execute transformations and introduce and sustain change to achieve top-line growth. He has developed and implemented innovative human capital business focused initiatives and programs to strengthen performance, increase employee engagement and align culture to achieve sustainable results. Steve has worked directly with c-level teams, coached business and human resources executives and focused on top team effectiveness. Now operating again as an external consultant, Steven J Steckler Consulting LLC, he is leveraging his "big company" experience to impact small to mid-sized companies, associations and nonprofits. Steve has worked with Third Pole Therapeutics; Alere, Inc.; The Grameen Foundation; National Association of Broadcasters; Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and the American College of Cardiology.

Steve was a senior consultant with inTalent Consulting and with Convergency Partners. As an internal HR leader and senior practitioner, he has held senior HR leadership roles at the most admired companies including Microsoft, Marriott International, TRW, WPP, CIBA-GEIGY and Citibank. Steve has led HR M&A integration, organization effectiveness, change management, executive talent assessment & development, succession planning and leadership development, along with holding senior HR business partner positions. Recently, he was Head of Transformation Management and Corporate HR M&A integration at Merck, KGaA, where he supported large strategic change and transformation projects and activities both within the company and for M&A. Steve managed major HR integration work streams for a $17 billion acquisition. While at Microsoft, he headed up the HR M&A integration practice.
